Fun Fall Weekend

Happy Fall ya'll! This is my most favorite time of year.  Yes, I love spring with all the new plants and blooms, summer with planting new flowers, starting veg gardens, and taking care of my bees, and winter, with the snow, cooking yummy cozy food, and staying home, but fall, *sigh*

My little backyard studio is all decorated for fall, and I'm loving it!  I may do a small wreath for the door, or wait and make one for Christmas.

Aaron built this little arbor for me a few years ago, and, up until this spring, had grape vines growing over her.  Well, the grapes never really did anything but get some kind of weird leaf fungus, so I dug them out.  This coming spring, I'm going to put two vintage, ever blooming roses on each side, and cross my fingers!  But for now, a row of cute little pumpkins and a couple of mums.
As everyone knows, ALL fairs and festivals were cancelled.  Yes it's a bummer, but necessary until this pandemic is contained.  Well, my second to last scheduled show actually happened!  Roseland Cottage Fine Arts and Crafts was this past weekend, and the people that manage it are total rockstars!  They were able to figure out how to have the show and keep everybody safe.  All vendors were spaced 10-12 feet apart, and attendees had to buy tickets online so they could manage how many people were on the field at a time.  I almost didn't do it, mainly because of the pandemic, but needed a little financial boost going into winter.  (wool bills are real, my friends)!

A little mat I finished the day before the show!  Didn't sell, so still available!

My booth all set up.  Good air flow with hand sanitizer at the ready.
Little hooked pillows and a few contemporary rug
See my little fall whale?!  Shes just the cutest bringing pumpkins and bittersweet to the celebration!
My awesome banner Aaron had made for me when I started my business.
My dyed wool supply is getting skimpy!  I see a few dye days in my future.
One of a set of screen doors repurposed as a rug display, courtesy of Aaron!
My Seasons rug was quite popular as a pattern last year.
The only finished piece that sold was this giant sunflower.  The woman that bought it was so thrilled!
Now that flower rug got so much attention!  I swear, she almost went home with a few different people, but nobody could figure out how to display it.
This was the temp Sunday morning......quite chilly!  But it did warm up and we had two beautiful days
And last, saw a couple of hot air balloons take off, but only got a picture of one.  The other was green with an alien face, but was long gone by the time I found my phone.

I'm now off to do a bit of housework, then clean up my workroom upstairs.  Next week is kit making week for my Etsy shop so stay tuned!
